About Us
Good coffee has a way of bringing people places.
What started as a love for great coffee and a curiosity to explore grew into JavaSmugglers. We began at local farmers markets and events, then hit the road with a mobile café, and in 2023 opened our first brick-and-mortar on Main Street in Boonton, NJ.
A History Worth Smuggling
Coffee has always been a little hard to keep to yourself. From its guarded beginnings to merchants, explorers, and (smugglers), it traveled the world and found a home in Indonesia, where the island of Java became renowned for its exceptional beans.
More Than Just Coffee
Today, we bring coffee from Bali to New Jersey, where it's roasted in small batches. Alongside our coffee, you'll find ceremonial-grade matcha, rotating seasonal drinks, housemade syrups, and signature cold foams.
But more than anything, we're here for good coffee, good company, and the little moments that bring people together.
JavaSmugglers is a little bit of everything we love, all under one roof. Great coffee, good food, interesting finds, and a space that invites you to stay awhile.
Our Boonton café is filled with books, antiques, and artwork, with many pieces available for purchase. It's part coffee house, part curiosity shop, and always a place to discover something unexpected.
Whether you're stopping by for your morning latte, a freshly made smoothie, a bite to eat, or simply a place to spend the afternoon, there's always a seat and something good waiting for you.
